A new nationwide movers study shows Nevada has officially broken into the top 10 states people are relocating to this year, with Las Vegas leading the way. More than half of all moves involving Nevada were inbound, meaning far more people are moving here than leaving.
The most common reasons behind these moves are long term and practical. People are relocating to be closer to family, to plan for retirement, and for job opportunities. This reflects what many of us are already seeing locally. Las Vegas is increasingly viewed as a place to settle down, not just visit.
What makes this especially noteworthy is how much Nevada’s ranking has improved compared to last year. This upward movement signals strong momentum compared to many other states. While Oregon, South Carolina, and West Virginia also ranked highly, Las Vegas continues to gain attention for its lifestyle flexibility, housing opportunities, and long term appeal.
